Carson Bachrodt Claims Auggie Navarro City Boys Championship in Dramatic Fashion

The 2025 Wichita Golf Marathon – Auggie Navarro City Boys Championship wrapped up in thrilling fashion at Sim Park, with Carson Bachrodt edging out defending champion Cohen Museousky in a back-and-forth final round battle.

Trailing by one stroke heading into the final 18, Bachrodt wasted no time making his move. A birdie on the first hole erased the deficit and set the tone for an intense head-to-head duel. Museousky answered with back-to-back birdies on holes 5 and 6, briefly reclaiming control. But Carson remained steady, finishing the front nine with a brilliant 33 — the same score he posted on the back — en route to an5 under-par 66.

Cohen carded a strong 68 of his own, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the relentless charge from Bachrodt, who finished the 36-hole championship at 130, just one stroke ahead of Museousky’s 131.

Seth Benjamin claimed solo third with a total of 140, followed by Logan Lam and Joe Binger in a tie for fourth at 142. A total of 35 junior golfers teed it up in this prestigious event honoring the legacy of Auggie Navarro, and the level of play was nothing short of exceptional.

Dominant Performance by Chase Knipp in the 12+ White Tee Division

In the 12+ White Tee Division of the 2025 Wichita Golf Marathon – Auggie Navarro City Boys Championship, Chase Knipp delivered a commanding performance that left no doubt about who owned the division.

Knipp fired impressive rounds of 80 and 79, finishing at 159 over the two-day event — a staggering 57 shots ahead of his nearest competitor. His steady play and course management were on full display as he navigated Sim Park with consistency and confidence.

Trailing behind Knipp were Jayden Stadalman, who improved on Day 2 with a 102 after an opening round of 114 (216 total), and Blake Gilliand, who posted rounds of 119 and 107 for a 226 finish.

While the gap was significant, both Stadalman and Gilliand showed resilience and positive momentum in their second rounds, gaining valuable experience in championship conditions. This division showcased the growing depth of junior golf in Wichita, and Chase Knipp's standout performance cements him as a rising player to watch in future events.

Silver Tee 9-Hole Division Recap

In the Silver Tee 9-Hole Division, Logan Burke turned in two steady rounds of 37 and 40 for a two-day total of 77, securing the top spot in commanding fashion. His impressive consistency set the pace for the field.

James Doyle (93 total) and Stratton Duling (94) battled closely for second and third, while Nico Valdivia posted a strong Day 2 score of 47 to finish at 101.

The division also saw competitive efforts from Champ Krsnich (103), Max Navarro (135), and Gabriel DeLeon (139), all showing improvement and great sportsmanship throughout the event.
